[origin: EP0669630A2] The push-button device has an elastic switch mat (3) with a number of switch domes (7) carrying respective contacts (8), cooperating with counter-contacts (6) of a circuit board (2), upon operation of the corresponding push-button keys (4). The switch mat has tubular projections (10) receiving guide pins (13) for respective push-button keys, simultaneously acting as bearing points for the relatively long lever arms of the push-button keys, which overlie one another. Pref. each guide pin has a thickened retaining edge (14), engaged by a retaining lip at the end of the respective projection.
