Redispersible resin powder in an amount of 0.5 - 20 parts by weight, and water, are added to, and mixed with, 100 parts by weight of the base material for cast molding purposes, such as base material for porcelain purposes and base material for ceramic purposes, and so it is possible to prepare slurry compositions in which the redispersible resin powder is dispersed uniformly in a very stable manner, and since the slurry composition is cast molded, cast moldings which have especially good mechanical strength, thickening rates and mold release properties, for example, are molded.
