[origin: EP0670364A1] A clear liquid bleach composition which is excellent in shelf stability and bleaching power and comprises hydrogen peroxide (a), a surfactant (b) and a bleach activator (c) which yields an organic peroxy acid by reacting with hydrogen peroxide, and in which the value of an interaction parameter beta of a mixed system composed of the surfactant (b) and the activator (c) according to formula (i) is less than -2; wherein C1 is critical micelle concentration of surfactant; C2 is critical micelle concentration of bleach activator; alpha 1 is molar fraction of surfactant in the whole solute mixture (molar fraction of addition); alpha 2 is molar fraction of bleach activator in the whole solute mixture (molar fraction of addition); C* is critical micelle concentration of mixed system; x1 is molor fraction of surfactant in mixed micelle, and x2 is molar fraction of bleach activator in mixed micelle. <MATH>
