[origin: EP0670403A2] The lock is particularly of the mortise type, having a stop lever actuated by a button protruding from the surface, stopping the catch from turning backwards when pressed inwards. The lever moves into the free position when the catch is pulled back under the action of an arm on the knob, and also on changing over into the release position. A free passage (F1, F2) is formed on pulling the catch back. The passage is formed between the knob arm (24) and the catch (18), and also between the latter and the changeover lever. There can be a chain link (58) between the knob arm to the middle part (50) of the section (44) of changeover lever. This has a coupling formed by a pin working in a slot (60), so that movement is possible with the knob arm stationary. The stop lever (35) can be movable by this part of the two-part change-over lever, the latter having an extension (51) engaging with the catch behind its head (19).
