[origin: EP0670532A1] A conventional movement (12) driving the hour and minute hands (2,3) has an underlying tongue (24) in contact with the casing (11) of a pressure transducer (13) open to ambient air (15). The atmos. pressure affects the vibration of a piezoelectric form to an extent measurable in terms of a frequency change which can be indicated on a scale of limited extent traversed by the tip of the hour hand when a button is pressed. The same action frees the minute hand to show a forecast by pointing to symbols of rain, cloud, bright intervals or continuous sunshine.
