[origin: EP0671227A1] The clamping mechanism for tools of a swivel bending machine incorporates a rail (6) for clamping a tool (11) between the clamping surfaces of this rail and a bracket (1) attached to the top, bottom or bending cheek of the machine. The mechanism is characterised by the presence of a number of actuator elements (3,8,9) functioning perpendicular to the clamping surfaces in such a way that these surfaces move towards (for clamping the tool) or away from (for releasing the tool) one another.
