[origin: EP0671347A1] The tipping system, esp. for domestic waste bins (10) has a buffer (110) linked to a bin lifter with a mechanism (131, 132) for deploying and retracting the buffer, operated as the bin is raised and lowered respectively. The buffer, which presses against the surface of a bin when deployed, has at least one hook (111) for engaging with a handle (11) in the middle of the bin. The deployment/retraction mechanism comprises a cam which provides the trajectory of the moving bin, at least one roller (131,132) which is carried by the buffer and interacts with the cam, and a drive motor.
