[origin: EP0671714A1] Identity numbers associated with a group of pockets is defined in a computer. The identity numbers of the individual pockets of each group are automatically read into the computer and the group of pockets is placed into a delivery case. Separating cards carrying the visually readable identity numbers are placed in the delivery case. The above procedure is repeated until all carrying pockets are placed into the delivery case. A number associated with the carrying pocket to be handed to a customer is entered into the computer, which outputs a corresp. identity number, enabling the pockets for the customer to be located via the identity number on the separating cards.
