[origin: EP0671752A2] The keyboard and an inset, deformable switch mat (7) and a multilayer switch film set (3). The metal plate (2) is clamped between the switch mat (7) and the base plate (4) to increase the weight and rigidity of the keyboard (1). Reinforcement members (15) are integrally formed in the bottom of the keyboard housing and rise over the base plate (4). The reinforcement members (15) run in a U shape and have uprights (27) away from the base plate (4). Bearing necks (28) are provided in the base region (36) of the reinforcement members (15) for pivotal housing feet (14). Index notches (18) lock the housing feet (14) into locking grooves (17).
