[origin: EP0671753A1] The switch has a housing (11) with an open back (14) closed by a removable cover (15), and a base (16) on which a switch (17) is arranged. A cylinder lock (12) extends through an opening (20) in the cover (15) and is connected to the cover (15). The key hole (18) of the lock (12) is accessible from the front (21) of the cover (15). The lock (12) has an actuating bit (13) fixedly connected to the rotatable key barrel (22). This cooperates with a counter-piece (23) of the switch (17) such that the switch (17) is actuated when the barrel (22) is rotated. A securing plate (24) is provided in the housing (11) between the cover (15) and the switch (17). This has a profiled opening (25) for the back of the lock (12). The fastening elements (26) are in such a position that the bit (13) passes through the opening (25) and engages with the counter actuator (23). The profile of the opening (25) is such that the bit engages behind large areas of the securing plate (24) in the key withdrawing position of the lock (12) such that the lock (12) cannot be withdrawn fro the front even when the cover (15) is removed. The securing plate (24) can be guided from the open side (14) of the housing (11) to projections (41,41') inside the housing. It can then be locked against removal and the locked position can be fixed by the fasteners (12,26,28,47,52).
