Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0671787A2] The device provides a connector for screened leads in telephony and data communications. It includes a metallic earthing plate (1) which can be supported on a printed circuit board or the like. The earthing plate (1) has a first bent back tongue. This forms a contact mandrel (2) into which is plugged a screened lead or cable, between its screening and the cable cladding. The plate (1) also has a second tongue, spaced from the contact mandrel (2), and running essentially parallel to it. This tongue forms a recess (3) into which the cable is laid. The recess (3) can be bent by setting using a cable tie (8), opposite the contact mandrel (2).
