[origin: EP0672365A2] The ski boot has an undershell with a longitudinally centre opening and a cover for bridging over this opening. Opposite to the undershell in the longitudinal direction of the boot is a pivotable shaft part and on the heel side is an opening closeable by a pivotable cover. A sole part is incorporated which has at least a heel and a point part extending backwards to the ball section. Outside and pref. beneath the undershell (1) between the heel (2) and the point part (3) runs a longitudinal stiffening member (10) which is formed rigidly against torsion around the longitudinal axis of the boot and is pref. screwed to the undershell in the area of the heel and the point part (3).
