[origin: EP0672459A1] A filter centrifuge has a rotating basket in the fluid collection vessel supported by bearings within an outer casing and based on a plinth. The basket incorporates a number of perforations and a fine filter insert. The novelty is the rotating basket (5) having a neck (7) and aperture (30) partly linked to a second aperture (30') in the base of the main body of the machine (2). Further that a jack (22, 42) removes the solid filtrate residues (32) from the filter insert (20, 20') allowing them to discharge through the apertures (30, 30').
