Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0672773A2] A fleece lining, which can be applied by ironing via an adhesive, is claimed, as is also its prodn. The fleece is of 10-40 g/m<2> wt. and has the following features: (i) it is reinforced by 5-25g/m<2> of elastic texturised reinforcing warp fibres which have a primary elongation of 10-35%, a total titre of 30-120 dtex and a fibre density of 3-25/inch (1.8-9.84/cm); (ii) the wt. ratio of warp fibres:fleece is 1:3-3:1; and (iii) the ultimate longitudinal elongation of the composite reinforced fleece is 50-120%. Claimed mfr. involves the following consecutive steps: (a) fully shrinking the composite fleece contg. reinforcing warp fibres to the required ultimate longitudinal elongation in a tensionless process; (b) heat-setting with simultaneous surface smoothing; and finally (or simultaneously) (c) applying a hot melt adhesive.
