Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0672799A2] The plastics branch (1) for channels has a groove sole which forms a channel consisting of a branching channel duct (4a) issuing in a pipe muff (5). The groove sole is provided as the floor (3) of a cylindrical branch pot (2) closable with a cover insert (6). The cover insert has an all-round edge flange (9) and with the insertion of a sealing ring can be set on the branch pot and screwed firmly to it. In the pipe muff can be inserted a closure plug extending into the connecting pipe duct (8). A venting pipe is connectable to the pipe muff via a curved formation. The cover insert accommodates a cover plate (12) which can be walked on.
