Abstract (en)
The method is for monitoring the secondary circuit in an IC engine ignition set with at least two primary circuits which are opened or closed by means of an ignition end (output) stage transistor (T1,T2). To avoid the necessity of measuring high voltages and to dispense with the ignition power-reducing current load in the secondary circuit, the base-emitter voltage (VBE1, VBE2) of each of the ignition output stage transistors (T1,T2) is measured and then stored with the primary circuit closed (completed), and a comparison value is formed out of at least two successive measured values (VBE1,VBE2) and compared with a threshold value (G).

Verfahren zur Überwachung auf Unterbrechung der Sekundärstromkreise in einer Zündeinrichtung einer fremdgezündeten Brennkraftmaschine, mit wenigstens zwei Primärstromkreisen, die jeweils durch einen Zünd-Endstufentransistor (T1, T2) geschlossen und geöffnet werden. Die Basis-Emitterspannung (VBE1, VBE2) jedes Zünd-Endstufentransistors (T1, T2) wird gemessen und gespeichert, wenigstens zwei aufeinander folgende Meßwerte (VBE1, VBE2) werden miteinander verglichen, und ein Fehlersignal (F) wird abgegeben, wenn ein Vergleichswert (D) einen vorgegebenen Grenzwert (G) über- oder unterschreitet. <IMAGE>
