Abstract (en)
The wear lining (4) of a shaft furnace consists of refractory ceramic blocks (6) joined to one another by means of a mortar layer. In front of the mortar layer, the horizontal joints between the blocks contain an insert (9) of a material which burns away at the operating temp. of the furnace. The lining is characterised by the fact that inserts (9) occupy less than one half of the horizontal joint area, while the mortar layer (10) occupies more than one half of this area.

Bei einem Verschleißfutter eines Schachtofens aus feuerfesten, keramischen Steinen sind zwischen den Steinen in den horizontalen Fugen ofeninnenseitig vor der Mörtelschicht bei Betriebstemperatur ausbrennende Einlagen vorgesehen. Zur Verbesserung der Standfestigkeit nehmen die Einlagen (9) weniger als die Hälfte der horizontalen Fugenflächen (L, B, b) ein. <IMAGE>
