The at least one operating unit (6) setting a conveyor direction (10) is positioned on a plinth (2). At least one basic group (84) of the operating unit is in the form of a component group or as plug-in unit separately pre-mounted. At least one assembly armature is for guiding on the plinth in one insertion direction along a path. The insertion direction is pref. crosswise to the conveyor direction and or deviates from the vertical.

Bei einer Fertigungsstraße ist sowohl das Grundgestell als auch der bearbeitende Bereich in einzelne, baukastenartig zusammenzufügende Module (5, 6) unterteilt, wobei die Sockeleinheit (5) drei mit einschiebbaren Arbeitseinheiten (6) bestückbare Aufnahmeplätze (28) sowie Aufnahmen für Antriebseinheiten (46) und einen die jeweilige Arbeitseinheit (6) übergebenden Hubwagen aufweist. Die Arbeitseinheiten (6) können, nachdem ein Bedienpult (60) aus dem Einschubweg herausgefahren ist, parallel zur horizontalen Trennebene (4) und quer zur Förderrichtung (10) herausgefahren bzw. eingeschoben und dann justiert sowie verspannt werden. Dadurch kann mit gleichen Sockeleinheiten (5) ein beliebig langes Grundgestell für beliebig aufeinander folgende Arbeitsstationen (6) geschaffen werden. <IMAGE>
