[origin: DE4409316C1] The long gap roller press assembly, especially for the removal of water from the polishing a fibre web, has an impermeable belt (4) passing between the pressure surfaces (2,3) with the web (1) and in the same direction. A hydraulic piston/cylinder unit (8), acting on at least one press surface (3), has a part (10,11) fixed to a carrier (21). The support (7), with the other part (11,10) slides in the press direction and in the direction (20) of material travel on or in the part (10,11). A limit stop (12) at the carrier (21) acts as a butt for the support (7).
