[origin: EP0674083A1] A threshold comprises a threshold strip (1) extruded from a plastics material whose profile includes along each of its lengthwise extending sides (3) inwardly facing channels (7) between which are retained lengthwise extending side edges of a strip of carpet material (9) mounted onto a plastics backing strip and secured thereto by hot melting.
