Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0674238A2] Electrophotographic carrier is based on magnetic core coated with various metal oxides, comprising (a) a first layer of electrically insulating metal oxide and (b) a second layer of metal oxide which controls electrostatic charging of the toner and does not cause a significant redn. in the resistance of the carrier provided by layer (a). Also claimed are methods for producing these carriers and a method of coating carrier cores with Al2O3.
