[origin: EP0674955A1] The appts. for breaking up internal swarf of longitudinally welded pipe segments separated from a continuously produced pipe is characterised by the presence of a drum-like rotator (12) between a flushing device (5,6) and a swarf receiver (7) with a swarf cutter (9). The circumference of the rotator is provided with at least three uniformly spaced grooves (19-22) with a U-shaped cross section. In a stop position of the rotator there is always one groove aligned with the flushing device and the swarf receiver so that jointly with a cover plate (26) a closed channel is formed in the vicinity of the swarf receiver (7). <IMAGE>
