[origin: EP0674957A1] The slot punching installation has an intermediate station (4) arranged between the first and second work stations (3,6). The intermediate station has a workpiece alignment device (5) by which the workpiece is correctly positioned in preparation for the following slot punching sequence. The rotor alignment device incorporates a stator push-out unit which uses a height-adjustable piston/cylinder assembly. A piston/cylinder combination enables the rotor alignment device to be lowered onto the stator-rotor plate. <IMAGE>
