[origin: EP0675217A1] An appts. for cleaning a rotor running in the rotor housing of an open-end spinning unit has a scraper which can be placed in a predetermination position in the rotor fibre gathering groove (4). Here the scraper (9), when inserted into the rotor (2) cleaning device, automatically adopts an optimal length independently of erosion due to wear and tear. The scraper is thus guaranteed to settle reliably in the base of the groove (4). <IMAGE>
