[origin: EP0675220A1] An anti-vandal layer, comprising a wire-reinforced knitted fabric comprises at least partly cut-resistant fibres of material e.g. aromatic polyamide, polyethylene spun according to the gel spinning process, or glass. In at least one yarn system there is one wire, where at least one yarn system projects out of the fabric plane in such a way that, during subsequent application of adhesive, preferential adhesion to these projecting points is achieved. <IMAGE>
