Abstract (en)
The security system uses a 2-part code signal, which is held in a code memory carried by the user and fed in to a comparator (V) onboard the vehicle, allowing use of the vehicle when the entered code signal is the same as a reference code signal. The code comparator controls an access control device, which only allows the second part of the reference code signal to be released for comparison when the first parts of the compared code signals are the same. Pref. the first part of the control signal is specific to the user and cannot be altered, the second part of the control signal altered each time the vehicle is used. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verfahren zum Steuern der Benutzung eines Kraftfahrzeugs mit Hilfe eines aus zwei Teilen bestehenden Codesignals, das in einem vom Benutzer getragenen Codespeicher enthalten ist, mit einem im Kraftfahrzeug enthaltenen Codevergleicher (V), in den das Codesignal eingegeben wird und der bei Übereinstimmung mit einem Referenz-Codesignal die Benutzung (M) freigibt besitzt der Codespeicher eine Zugangskontrolleinrichtung, die vom Codevergleicher aus steuerbar ist und die nur jeweils ein Teil-Codesignal für einen Auslesevorgang freigibt und daß diese Freigabe nur dann vorgenommen wird, wenn das zuerst ausgelesene Teil-Codesignal mit dem entsprechenden Referenz-Teil-Codesignal übereinstimmt. <IMAGE>
