[origin: EP0675281A1] The fuel is driven through the opening (4) into a cylinder from a storage chamber (14) when the needle (15) of the nozzle is actuated by an electromagnetic control valve (227). The other end of the needle projects into a control chamber (17a) connected to a high-pressure source by a flow tube (13). Another valve (25) has an annular chamber (28) in communication with the high-pressure source and an annular seating (27) shaped so that an additional connection with the control chamber is established when the needle executes a closure movement. <IMAGE>
