[origin: EP0675575A1] The LV current conductor (1) has an insulator (2), with a rectangular cross-section, provided with metal mesh bands (3,...6) on each of its major surfaces, providing the current paths for respective phases. The insulator is provided by a profiled rail, with profile chambers (7,...10) on both sides for receiving the respective metal mesh bands, defined by profile flanges. Pref. the insulator has a symmetrical profile cross-section, e.g. a double T profile, with a ratio of 5:30 between the greatest profile width and the profile height. <IMAGE>
