the device has a continuously driven endless conveying band (9), forming a loop (11) which lies adjacent the transported web loop (4). A secondary drive (12) allows a localised control of the velocity of the conveying band, for synchronisation with the transported web (1), so that the conveying band lies in support contact with the full length of the transported web loop. Pref. the continuous drive (10) for the conveying band is synchronised with the transport rate of the transported web, the secondary drive synchronised with a discontinuous feed for the transported web. <IMAGE>

Vorrichtung zum Auflagern und Führen eines zu bearbeitenden Bandmaterials (1,42), insbesondere von Nylon- oder Stahlcordbändern, im Bereich einer vom kontinuierlichen oder diskontinuierlichen Zu- oder Abtransport des Bandmaterials (1,42) mittels entsprechender Fördereinrichtungen herrührenden, sich abhängig vom diskontinuierlichen Zu- oder Abtranssport in ihrer hängenden Lage ändernden Schlaufe des Bandmaterials (1,42), mit einem das Bandmaterial (1,42) im Schlaufenbereich (4,33) zumindest im Bereich der Schlaufensenke tragenden, von wenigstens einer ersten Antriebseinrichtung (10,26) kontinuierlich umlaufend angetriebenen und eine Schlaufe (11,32) bildenden Unterstützungstransportband (9,43), das mittels wenigstens einer das Transportband (9,43) lokal in seiner Geschwindigkeit steuernden zweiten Antriebseinrichtung (12,28) über einen Transportbandlängenspeicher (14,35) derart geschwindigkeitskoordiniert wird, daß sich die Transportbandschlaufe (11,32) synchron mit der Materialschlaufe (4,33) ändert und die Bandmaterialschlaufe (4,33) in jeder Lage auf der Unterstützungstransportbandschlaufe (11,32) aufgelagert ist. <IMAGE>
