Metallised packaging material (I), esp. for packaging cigarettes, comprises paper coated with a layer of metal in amts. of 0.02-0.25 g/m<2>, and with a layer of slip additive (II) applied to the metal layer in amts. of 0.5-100 mg/m<2>. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I), by applying (II) to metal-coated paper as above.

Es wird ein metallisiertes Verpackungsmaterial aus Papier mit einer hierauf aufgebrachten Metallschicht beschrieben. Auf die Metallschicht ist ein Gleitmittel in einer Menge von 0,5 bis 100 mg/m<2> aufgebracht, wodurch insbesondere das Abblättern von Metallpartikeln bei der Verarbeitung vermieden wird. Das erfindungsgemäße metallisierte Verpackungsmaterial mit Aluminiumüberzug ist bevorzugt für die Verwendung als Zigaretteninnenwickler geeignet.
