Abstract (en)
The matrix display includes an array of optical fibre ends (4) which may be obscured by rotating discs (6) having clear and transparent sections. Each disc is rotated by a drive motor, the motor being linked to the disc by a gear linkage. The drive motor is irreversible and has two stable positions. The discs include sections which are coloured, and may allow different amounts of light to pass through to the display. A position detector is associated with each disc; this may be a photoelectric device sensing a reflective element on the disc determining the rotational position of the disc. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne une matrice d'affichage à fibres lumineuses occultables par des disques à plusieurs secteurs qui sont entraînés en rotation par des moteurs irréversibles à deux positions stables, sous l'action d'un dispositif de commande d'affichage. Il est prévu, sur chaque disque, un dispositif de détection (33) d'au moins une position angulaire dudit disque relié à un dispositif de contrôle de cohérence (32), lui-même relié au dispositif de commande d'affichage (30) et agissant sur un dispositif d'activation (31) du moteur dudit disque. Le dispositif de détection comporte avantageusement un capteur photoélectrique et un élément réfléchissant disposé sur un secteur occulté du disque. <IMAGE>
