Abstract (en)
The document shredder has an opening (13) for the papers or other material, with a light barrier (14) provided that comprises a light transmitter (15) and receiver (16). The barrier has an alignment device with a comparator (30) which compares a reference signal with the output signal of the receiver. From the difference signal is generated a switching signal for the cutter drive motors. The signals from the receiver are digitalised using an A/D converter (27) and the store (31,32) is digital. It is a non-volatile store containing EEPROM or buffered RAM. The comparator controls the motors through electronic relays (19,20). The alignment phase is activated automatically by the main switch. <IMAGE>

Ein Dokumentenvernichter (11) mit einem von einem Motor angetriebenen Schneidwerk weist eine Lichtschranke (14) auf, die einen Lichtsender (15) und einen Lichtempfänger (16) hat. Dessen über einen Analog-/Digital-Wandler (27) digitalisiertes Ausgangssignal wird während einer Abgleichphase in einem Speicher (31) gespeichert und nach Abzug einer Schwell- oder Differenzwertkonstante von dem Speicher (32) einem Eingang (41) eines Vergleichers (30) zugeführt, während im Betrieb das digitalisierte Betriebssignal dem Betriebseingang (40) des Vergleichers zugeführt wird. In Abhängigkeit von dem Vergleich bewirkt ein Steuerteil (29) den Betrieb des Dokumentenvernichters. Der Abgleich kann manuell zu beliebiger Zeit oder automatisch bei jeder Einschaltung durchgeführt werden. <IMAGE>
