[origin: EP0677335A2] The detection system monitors the natural resonance frequency of the ultrasonic transducer (5), to detect a frequency variation indicating an overflow of the vaporisation surface, to provide a corresponding output signal. The signal representing the resonance frequency of the ultrasonic transducer is fed to a peak value detector (20) with a memory function, allowing comparison of the actual signal value with the stored value, to provide an overflow output signal when the difference between the compared signals indicates a given decrease rate in the resonance frequency. <IMAGE>
