Abstract (en)

The card printing machine includes a card feeder (10) supplying cards to a colour printing station (1) and a black and white printing station (2). These stations use thermal impression printing techniques, with a ribbon passing in front of the head. These are followed by a station which reverses the card (4). This includes a drum arranged to rotate the card through 180 degrees. After printing on both sides of the card in both colour and black and white, the card passes through a further station which applies the required electrical personalisation to it. The card then joins a stack (6). <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne les systèmes d'impression automatique recto verso de cartes en noir et blanc et en couleurs. L'invention réside dans le fait que le système comprend au moins une machine d'impression en noir et blanc (2) ou en couleurs (1) du type à tête d'impression thermique devant laquelle défilent simultanément un ruban servant de support à des colorants à déposer et la carte à imprimer et au moins un dispositif de retournement (4) de la carte qui est placé avant ou après ladite machine. L'invention est applicable aux imprimantes de cartes bancaires. <IMAGE>
