[origin: EP0677443A1] Cross-sealing devices for a packaging machine can work with stripper bars (23) moved along the plastic wrapping to be sealed, which ensure that the sealing surfaces are free of the packaged material before the sealing takes place. A drive for the stripping bars allows the stripping paths on the plastic wrapping to be matched to special requirements.
