[origin: EP0677473A2] The device (1) has a base (31,62) and exchangeable assembly groups for processing the sheet layers. The device has at least one running surface (46,47,54,55,56) for countersided folding of at least two fold arms of the sheet layer. In partic. a running surface is formed as a fold curve (54,55,56) pivoting the fold part in one fold direction. The fold arm together with the fold curve are movable against one another along a track in a conveyor device (3).
