A lamp has a trough-shaped housing (12), at least one bulb and a transparent shell (10) shaped so that the edge reaching behind the side walls of the housing has a groove. In this groove (24) is a sealing strip (26) which is pressed against the housing wall. The edge of the shell is offset towards the inside by a distance approximately equal to the thickness of the housing wall. On the longitudinal leg of this offset is the U-shaped groove. Distributed over the inner side of the periphery of the housing are guide ribs (14), made one-piece with the housing, which generate the sealing force. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Leuchte mit einem wannenförmigen Leuchtengehäuses (12) mindestens einem im Leuchtengehäuse (12) angeordneten Lampe und einer die Lampe übergreifenden und das Leuchtengehäuse verschließenden, durchsichtigen oder durchscheinenden Leuchtenwanne (10), bei dem zur Abdichtung der Leuchte die Leuchtenwanne (10) so ausgeformt ist, daß ihr das Leuchtengehäuse (12) hintergreifender Rand eine Nut (24) aufweist, in die ein Dichtungsband (26) eingelegt ist. <IMAGE>
