[origin: EP0677714A1] The cooling grid is for a thrust grid cooler for cooling hot materials and contains several grid plate carriers (1,1') parallel to each other and spaced apart running crossways to the cooling grid. The carriers are formed as hollow bodies and are connected to cooling gas feed conduits (2,2'). Several grid plates (5) are arranged together in cross rows and are provided with cooling gas through passage apertures (8) in front plate sections (5a) facing in the cooling material conveyor direction (7). The grid plates of each cross row are fixed in a sealed manner on a grid plate carrier so that, in the cooling grid longitudinal direction, adjacent grid plate cross rows overlap each other.
