[origin: EP0677717A1] The artillery shell (11), with remote control through a laser guide beam, has the outer dimensions of the barrel calibre to be fired with a greatly reduced propellant (46). On leaving the barrel, a secondary propellant drive (23) is activated within the shell structure (18) coaxially before or after the warhead (22) according to the nature of the projectile. A solid fuel motor with jets (25) is behind a deflector (24) for the reaction gases (50), in the flight direction which are aligned at an acute angle to the shell axis (26), located at intervals round the circumference of the shell body (18). <IMAGE>
