Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0677826A2] The taximeter has a two-part housing a circuit board carrying a computer and data memory, a liquid crystal display or LCD, a light conductor illuminating the rear of the LCD, a glass plate at the front of the LCD and control keys accessible from the front. The control keys enable contacts on the circuit board to be made. The key shafts of the control keys are made of light conducting material and guide channels (37-40) associated with the key shafts are formed on the light conductor (19). The key shafts can be formed on a strip-shaped circuit mat. The light conductor is arranged wrt. the circuit board so as to fix the mat to the circuit board. <IMAGE>
