Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0677895A2] The plug connector for back-panel wiring has a multipoint plug formed as a rectangular housing open on one side. This plugs into the contact of a back-panel circuit board (40). The connector also includes a multipoint contact strip which plugs into the multipoint plug and is fixedly connected to a module circuit board. The male and female contacts are arranged in parallel in several rows. The individual contact springs are surrounded by electrically conductive screen plates which are connected to the intermediate raster both at the back and also as contacts on the circuitry side. The contact strip housing (1-8) is made of an electrically conductive material. The contact springs are arranged in receiving chambers (9-16) int eh contact strip and are insulated from the strip housing (1-8). <IMAGE>
