[origin: EP0677901A1] The crimping method involves using a front jaw clamp (11) which is made up of an upper and lower section (10,12) each having an inner holder section (5`,6`) for a female section. The section has inner indentations to break the oxide layer on the male section. Rear jaw clamps (20) have an upper and lower section (21, 22) and an inner holder (81) in each clamp. The male and female sections are connected, and the forward clamp jaws join the two sections under extrusion. The rear clamps are closed, and the wire pulled, forming a constant diameter section along the length. <IMAGE>
