[origin: EP0678398A1] An article, esp. a film, printed with an ink intended for printing of PVC, has at least a surface region comprising at least one polyolefin that has been treated with oxygen and fluorine and is characterised by the presence in the surface of F and O in concns. such that the atomic ratio O/C measured by ESCA spectroscopy (Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis) measured at a depth of 1.5 nm is at least 0.00 and the atomic ratio F/C measured in the same way is at least 90% and at most 290% of the O/C ratio.
