[origin: EP0678459A1] The transport and storage container is for bulk pourable material and has stand feet together with an opening (16) on its under side. It is closable by opposing flaps (37,38) pivotable around a rotary axis (39,40). In the interior of the container (11) opposite to the opening is a blocking body (32) and the flaps are movable in location on the blocking body, in order to close the container. They are movable away from the blocking body in order to open the container, forming a funnel of variable opening size. The blocking body is arranged above the rotary axes of the flaps, and the flaps both in an upwardly directed position and in a position in which they are directed along a line, close the container. The container has a basic surface of approx. 80 x 120 cm. <IMAGE>
