[origin: EP0678470A2] The device is for storage and issue of a bendable elastic rod (7), used for drawing in cables or other electrical conduits into cable protective tubes or empty tubes. It has a housing (1) in which is rotatably located a storage drum (2). The storage drum has a circular ring-shaped gap and the housing has an outlet for the rod. The housing is open on one side with a shell shape. The storage drum with the rod stored in it is easily exchangeably located in the housing and is provided with a hand drive (4,5) comprising a hand crank, which is connected to a bearing casing of the storage drum. The hand crank is of one piece construction with a slightly conical inwardly arched plate (3) connected with upper and inner drum wall parts. <IMAGE>
