Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0678613A2] An appts. for the treatment of textile fabric, fleece or paper with circulating gas or fluid comprises a transport element, i.e. under suction, a permeable drum (5) with end walls (11,12) and a screen layer (19) covering its circumference. Sheet metal strips (10) extend directly and unbending between the end walls and in breadth radially, while they are firmly fastened on both sides one with its neighbour by one-piece connecting, i.e. bridge-formed, elements (20) with at least one drill hole to take a screw (29,29',30,30') or similar fixing device. The bridges, equal in width to the strips, are spaced at regular intervals along the drum length to maintain the inter-strip spacing. Here, an additional sheet metal drum with openings is placed radially under the inner edges of the sheet metal strips over the whole length of the drum (5). Also claimed is a similar arrangement but where here there is only one drill hole over the length of each metal strip and each connecting element (20) is a small tube fastened by just one adjustable screw. <IMAGE>
