[origin: EP0679363A2] The suction jet has a suction head (2) with depending brushes (1), an operating element allowing the distance of the brushes above the suction head bottom surface (4) to be reduced. A further operation of the operating element allows a suction tube (5), with a reduced suction cross-section, to be extended to project beyond the bottom surface of the suction head. Pref. the operating element is provided by a sliding sleeve (3), displaced axially relative to the suction head, to operate a slider for raising the brushes, with subsequent extension of the suction tube when the brushes are in the fully raised position. <IMAGE>
