[origin: EP0679448A1] Tensile undulating sieve has parallel cross beams (Q1,Q2) with flexible strip shaped sieve elements (2) fixed between them. A first motion system moves every cross beam (Q1) and a second system moves the remaining intermediate beams (Q2) in such a way that the sieve elements are alternately stretched or buckled. A first (3a) or second (3b) section of a tension element is fixed either directly or via an intermediate section to the first (Q1) or second (Q2) cross beams respectively. Movements of the first or second motion systems can be effected by the first or second sections respectively. <IMAGE>
