[origin: EP0679763A2] The plastics paving slab has a continuous top surface (4) with connected cells (2) on its underside. The cells are connected to each other. There are spaces (5) between edge cells which lie around the circumference of the slab. Ribs (7) on the bottom of the edge cells project into the spaces. Some of the edge cells have walls of reduced height with apertures and lower edges located slightly lower than the top of the ribs. <IMAGE>
