[origin: EP0679808A2] The pump has its internal contour (26) divided into three equally sized sections (40,42,44) within the pump chambers (28',28"). The first section forms a suction area (30), the second section forms a pressure area (32), and the third section forms a separating area (36) between the other two sections. Each section occupies an area having an angle of 60 deg. The impeller (20) has six vanes (24) which are located on the rotor circumference at relative distances of 60 deg. The pump chambers merge into each other without erratic changes in the radial speed progression of the vane movement. <IMAGE>
